When you are looking unobtrusive, robust and bright yet efficient lighting for your shelter, the LED Puck is the answer. Over the years we have supplied pucks to a wide range of award winning shelter applications:
Acland Street Shleters – St Kilda Melbourne, Victoria
Public Transport Victoria (PTV), the City of Port Phillip and Yarra Trams worked together to upgrade the Acland Street streetscape, which included shelters inspired by the moon from Luna park. To provide efficient downward illumination with zero glare, a custom asymmetric LED puck beam with a sharp cut-off and no upwards illumination (VA2) was used.
Lennox Park in Richmond, Melbourne, Victoria
Relume Consulting picked up an Award of Excellence for the Lennox Street Park in Richmond for ‘A brilliant and innovative solution for illuminating an external space in a sensitive residential area’. The solution is so simple, yet most would have overlooked it. Ingeniously the LED pucks were used illuminating solid park umbrellas with a stunning effect.
Milligan Street Taxi Ranks, Perth, Western Australia
Aecom and the City of Perth installed 80 LED Pucks into taxi shelters in the popular late-night area entertainment area of Northbridge. The project was selected for an IES award of excellence.
Playford Alive Town Park, South Australia
This urban renewal project has gathered a fistful of architectural and design awards including the Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture (AILA) SA Landscape Architecture Design Award and the Kidsafe National Playspace Design Awards.
Other shelter applications include bus-stops at University of Technology Sydney and Melbourne Airport.
