Planet Lighting was pleased to host lighting specialist partners and distributors JSB Lighting last Friday to give them hands on time with the new Planet Lighting LED Puck Snap range.
JSB team members, including CEO Justin Penhall, gathered from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to take part in a special 6 hour training event at our Bellingen headquarters.
The day kicked off with a factory tour guided by one of Planet’s lead industrial designers, Sinclair Park – who was responsible for the original design of the LED Puck handrail lighting system in 2006. Participants got a glimpse into Planet’s other lighting divisions in aquaculture and medical lighting as well as a window into the 100 year history of the company and its ethos. They also met some of Planet’s longest serving staff members of 40+ years.

An overview on LED puck production and testing followed and it wasn’t long before the JSB team themselves donned the safety goggles and rolled up their sleeves.

That’s right. Every single team member opted for a go at installation, drilling the new LED Pucks into handrail with the new purpose-built Snap Drill Jig. And in the Bellingen hot summer sun at that!

After lunch, Commercial manager of Architectural at Planet Lighting, Mia Iggulden – who leads LED Puck division – delivered a sneak peak of some exciting new products and industry partnerships.
Planet Lighting enjoys an excellent partnership with JSB. We were delighted to share some quality face to face time and thank the team at JSB Lighting for what was a enjoyable, insightful day.
