The most recent installation of the new Planet ULED examination light is at the Joondalup Health Campus located in Western Australia. The campus has been under going a major re-development by the John Holland Group to cater for the ever expanding Northern corridor of Perth. Joondalup is the Northen Suburbs largest hospital and provides all levels of medical services for both public and private patients. The new extensions included an emergency ward and specialist medical centre. With these new building additions, Planet and Western Australian distributor Inlite recently secured the contract to supply all the new medical examination lights in the new wing of the hospital.
The project is expected to be fully completed by 2013, and will be able to offer the local community a broad range of quality health services.

About the ULED
The meticulously designed examination light, the ULED, is the result of 50 years in the medical lighting business and over a decade’s knowledge of producing LED lighting fixtures. It combines time-proven engineering with the most advanced LED technology in a innovative way making the ULED the only examination light with a push-button detachable head. This feature facilitates upgrades or when necessary exchange or maintenance without requiring a technician. The precision engineered multi-axis arm and small light head ensures minimum intrusion in the work-place and the 4000K intense cool beam provides optimum light and colour rendering.
Another distinguishing feature of the ULED amongst the available examination light is the choice of light output:
- ULED 16,000 lux
- ULED Plus 21,000 lux
